About the Theatre:

The Eugene O'Neill Theatre first opened as the Forrest Theatre (after 19th century playwright Edwin Forrest) on November 24, 1925 with a production of the musical Mayflowers. It was subsequently renamed the Coronet Theatre in 1945 and finally the Eugene O'Neill in 1959, after the famous American playwright of such plays as The Iceman Cometh and Anna Christie. In 2011, it welcomed the arrival of the hugely popular, Tony-winning musical The Book of Mormon.
