The Mountaintop Information

About the Show:

The Mountaintop is a compelling revisionist look at the events that took place the night before the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. From the desk of young playwright Katori Hall, it surprised the London theatre world by winning the 2010 Olivier Award for Best New Play. The Independent said that it shows "a relationship that is breathtaking, hilarious and heart-stopping," and praised its ability to "pull the audience into the ring." The Daily Telegraph's Charles Spencer called it "a beautiful and startling piece, beginning naturalistically before shifting gear into something magical, spiritual and touching." Originally starring British actors David Harewood and Lorraine Burroughs, the Broadway transfer's original cast featured movie stars Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett. With such a gripping play, you can't afford to miss your chance to order your own tickets to The Mountaintop!
