Born in Birmingham, England, Steve Winwood was exposed to music by his father at an early age. Like most children whose parents play instruments, Winwood’s curiosity was piqued. The difference between Steve Winwood and most children is that Winwood was fronting the Spencer Davis Group and playing the Hammond B-3 and guitar on tour with B.B. King, Bo Diddley, John Lee Hooker, Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf as a teenager.
Steve Winwood tour dates continued to gain traction as he joined forces with the members of Traffic in ’67 and then Blind Faith with Eric Clapton in ‘69. Like a musical version of Leonard Zelig, Winwood popped up to play the organ on the album version of Jimi Hendrix’s classic “Voodoo Chile” off Electric Ladyland and performed the part of Captain Walker in the orchestral version of The Who’s Tommy.
Steve Winwood tickets to see the artist begin his solo career were a hot commodity for fans who were eager to hear the Grammy Award-winning “Higher Love” off his acclaimed album Arc of a Diver and other hits like “Valerie,” “Call on Me” and “Back in the High Life Again.” Don’t miss your opportunity to catch up with one of music’s best vocalists with Steve Winwood concert tickets!
