. Broadway Theater Helen Hayes Theater 240 West 44th Street New York, NY 10036 Las Vegas Theater Rock of Ages Theater at The Venetian 3355 S Las Vegas Boulevard Las Vegas, NV 89109 About the Show

The headbangin' musical Rock of Ages has shattered the mold of traditional musical theatre. Fans of 1980s classic rock and glam metal go crazy for this wild show, which features the songs of Journey, Styx, Pat Benatar, Bon Jovi, Twisted Sister, Poison, and more. Songs include "Sister Christian," "We're Not Gonna Take It," "Wanted Dead or Alive," "I Want to Know What Love Is," "The Final Countdown," "Any Way You Want It," "Every Rose Has Its Thorn," "Oh Sherrie," and "Don't Stop Believin'." These hits are presented in a rock-star story of sex, drugs, and various other sinful activities, recreating the environment from which they came. Rock of Ages is more lighthearted and comedic than many other Broadway shows, and audiences are known for getting wild by singing along, ordering drinks (yes, that's right), and holding their lighters high. With this show, you get the epic story of a Broadway show and the spirit and atmosphere of a rock concert. What's not to like?

Rock of Ages officially opened at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre on April 7, 2009 after an Off-Broadway run at New World Stages and a series of preview performances. The original Broadway cast featured Constantine Maroulis, the contestant from season 4 of American Idol known for his rock flare and thrashing voice, in the lead role of Drew. Since its opening, productions have opened in Toronto, London, Australia, and on tour throughout the United States. The show has been so successful that a film version was adapted for release in 2012. The star-studded cast includes Tom Cruise, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, Julianne Hough, Mary J. Blige, and Paul Giamatti, among others. This show is a bona fide sensation. Plot Synopsis

Rock of Ages, set on the famous Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, is narrated by the bumbling rock aficionado Lonny, who, often hilariously, breaks the fourth wall with the audience. He tells of Drew, an aspiring rocker who begins as a bus boy in the Hollywood club The Bourbon Room (owned by Dennis), a famous rock destination. When Sherrie, an aspiring actress from Kansas, comes in and starts working as a waitress in the club, it's love at first sight. But thanks to the pressures and temptations of the rock and roll lifestyle and some intervention by lecherous rock star Stacee Jaxx, their relationship falls apart and hope seems all but lost as Sherrie leaves and is forced to support herself by working in a strip club. Meanwhile, German real estate developer Hertz and his son Franz convince the mayor to let them remodel the city, abandoning the sex, drugs, and rock and roll image. But city planner Regina refuses to see the city fall from glory and tries everything she knows to stop the project. Can Drew and Sherrie get past their troubles and rediscover each other? Can Regina save the legendary Sunset Strip from certain doom? Get your Rock of Ages tickets and find out for yourself!
