One of the greatest rock bands of all-time, Queen formed over 40 years ago in 1970. Queen's legendary status has been cemented already, as Freddie Mercury, Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor paved their way through rock history with 16 studio albums and over 60 singles, including "Bohemian Rhapsody," "We Will Rock You," and "We Are the Champions."
Now in 2014, Queen are headed back on tour, and are bringing a former American Idol contestant with them. Adam Lambert will fill in for Freddie Mercury during Queen's tour in 2014. Lambert performed "Bohemian Rhapsody" during his initial audition for FOX's reality show, and has performed with Queen numerous times since. 2014 marks the first time that Lambert and Queen embark on a concert tour together -- a match that has been in the making for five years, since Lambert first appeared on American Idol.
Previously, Queen experimented with Bad Company frontman Paul Rodgers, but the partnership ended in 2009.
