The long-running rock sensation Foreigner was formed in 1976 by guitarist/songwriter Mick Jones, ex-King Crimson member Ian McDonald, and vocalist Lou Gramm. Together they spawned some of rock music’s guiltiest pleasures. Singles like "I Want to Know What Love Is," "Feels Like the First Time," "Cold as Ice," "Hot Blooded," and "Head Games" helped sell over 50 million albums and sustained the band over years of international touring, during which time Foreigner concert tickets were in high demand.
After a 16-year hiatus, Foreigner returned in 2009 with their album Can’t Slow Down, which represented a return to form for the band as the only remaining original member, Mick Jones, once again took up songwriting duties. However, the current lead vocalist, Kelly Hansen, steps admirably into the shoes of Lou Gramm to belt out the band’s cherished classics.
In 2014, Foreigner teamed up with Styx and Don Felder on the "Soundtrack of Summer 2014 Tour," which marked the second time Foreigner and Styx toured together (they previously played together in 2010 on the United for Rock Tour). Now Foreigner is hitting the road once again for their 2017 tour, and fans can expect one of the best rock shows of year yet again!
