One of Anjelah’s first viral videos Nail Salon” landed some of her first stand up gigs. In 2007, she decided to join the cast of MADtv’s 13th season, and her character “Bon Qui Qui” attracted over 55 million people and her skits went viral online. She also recorded some songs and music videos as the character, and decided to sign with Atlantic Records to release a full album. Anjelah also appeared in a number of ads and commercials, and guest starred in various television shows, such as The Shield and Ugly Betty. In 2009, she released “That’s How We Do It” as her first one hour special on Comedy Central. Her second special, The Homecoming Show, aired in 2013 on NUVOtv.
Aside from her comedy stand ups and television shows, Anjelah has also appeared and starred in a number of movies, including Our Family Wedding and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. Outside of filming, she is on the road performing her stand up at various venues throughout the U.S.
