A Christmas Carol tickets are one of the mainstays of the holiday season. One of the most famous holiday time productions ever, A Christmas Carol tells a story of sin, loneliness and redemption. When Charles Dickens wrote the story, he had in mind a form of Christmastime that for the most part has all but disappeared. It was the time of great gatherings, of feasts, of wealthy and poor being swept up by the colorful wave of glad tidings and goodwill to all men. People have been buying A Christmas Carol tickets for generations. Everybody loves the play, and you should make sure you see it live this season. The A Christmas Carol schedule is here for your convenience.

Plot: Scrooge and the Ghosts of Christmas

The plot of A Christmas Carol is well-known by most people, as it is such a huge part of the holidays. Who hasn’t heard of Ebenezer Scrooge? “Scrooge” is a word we now use to describe a tightwad such is the power and fame of A Christmas Carol. Buy tickets and enter the world of Scrooge now. The story begins one Christmas Eve. It is seven years since the death of Scrooge's business partner Marley, and the stingy Scrooge is (predictably) alone in his house. Three Christmas ghosts visit Scrooge during the course of the night, and each carries its own message. The Ghost of Christmas Past transports Scrooge back to the Christmas scenes of his boyhood and youth and the hard heart begins to stir and grow tender. Scrooge begins to ask himself where that happiness went to. Next, the Ghost of Christmas Present takes Scrooge to the humble home of his clerk Bob Cratchit where Cratchit is eating a poor Christmas dinner with his large family. Scrooge treats Cratchit terribly in life, and Cratchit sits shivering in a tattered blanket, not even being able to afford a coat. Cratchit’s son, Tiny Tim is present. Tim is suffering from a crippling illness and walks on crutches. This vision of what his loyal servant and his family have been reduced to as a result of his cruelty is a jolting one to Scrooge. Have no fear, though, you’re A Christmas Carol tickets will show you a happy ending. You just have to live through these life lessons first!

The third spirit, the Ghost of Christmas Future presents the final warning to Scrooge; it is the remainder of Scrooge’s personal life and the harrowing drama it will become if he doesn’t mend his skinflint ways. Even worse, Scrooge revisits Cratchit’s house and poor Tiny Tim is no longer there. Just his crutches remain as a memory of the boy whose life was too short. This is why we buy tickets - to be moved by timeless dramas such as this. Scrooge knows his life will be worthless if he doesn’t mend his ways, and so embraces the spirit of kindness and generosity. Enjoy this classic holiday musical that remind us all what the season is truly about.
