Art Garfunkel Solo Career

Garfunkel has released ten solo albums, his most recent album, Some Enchanted Evening, was released in 2007, which was an interpretation of many standards of the Great American Songbook. His most well-known and highest-charting solo album, Angel Clare, was released in 1973 and peaked at No. 5, containing his only Top 10 hit in the United States, "All I Know." The famous lead singer of the Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia, played guitar on the second track of that record. Simon and Garfunkel

Art Garfunkel is a Grammy-Award winning singer who is best known for his partnership with Paul Simon as part of the folk duo, Simon and Garfunkel, a hugely popular act in the 1960’s and 1970’s. He has had many notable musical achievements throughout his career. In 1990, Garfunkel was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with his former musical partner, Paul Simon. Together, Simon and Garfunkel won numerous Grammy Awards for hits such as “Mrs. Robinson” and “Bridge Over Troubled Water” in categories like Record of the Year, Best Contemporary Pop Performance, and Best Arrangement Accompanying Vocalists. In addition to his Grammy Awards won with Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel has also received a Lifetime Achievement Award. Simon and Garfunkel contributed significantly to the soundtrack of the 1967 Mike Nichols film, The Graduate, which starred Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft.
