Before Sam Hunt rose to fame, he pursued a career in football playing at Middle Tennessee State University and two years at the University of Alabama. Sam Hunt was the starting QB for UAB in 2006 and later was invited to the Kansas City Chiefs training camp. Injury plagued Sam Hunt's football career and he decided to pack up and move to Nashville, TN to start a career in music in 2008. The singer-songwriter got his start writing hits like "Come Over" for Kenny Chesney. Sam Hunt is also credited with writing singles for Keith Urban and Billy Currington.
