Between 11 June and 11 July 2010, football fans the world over will make the pilgrimage to the premier international soccer tournament - the Football World Cup. A new World Cup automatically makes us think of previous ones. The World Cup 2010 schedule, determined by the World Cup 2010 draw, will mean life or death to many teams. The 1998 FIFA World Cup in France witnessed the United States national soccer team knocked out in the first round, finishing last out of all 32 countries present. It was to be a year or three before the trickle of America's truest talent made its way to Europe, in the form of Claudio Reyna, Brian McBride, Tim Howard and others.
