UMass Minutemen basketball Tickets
UMass basketball tickets have been hot stuff ever since coach John Calipari made the Minutemen A-10 Tournament Champions 5 consecutive times. This amazing feat of basketball took place from the 1991-92 season to the 1995-96 season, and Minutemen tickets were at a premium. The glittering run was accompanied by various appearances in other notable college basketball contests, including the Final Four and the Elite Eight. UMass basketball tickets are still pretty big sellers, though, as their legions of fans continue to attend games at the Mullins Center, scene of many a triumph. It was common for the Minutemen to be ranked Number One in the A-10, but since then things have taken a bit of a downturn; recently, UMass managed an appearance in the 2008 NIT final game. Unfortunately, they were beaten 85-92 by the Ohio State Buckeyes. The UMass rivalry with the Rhode Island Rams drives up quite an atmosphere when the teams meet for their annual set-to, and Minutemen Rams tickets can fetch quite a price for those sold out games. Along with the old "U-Game" against UConn (when UMass UConn tickets sold handsomely) the Minutemen also take part in a sometimes ferocious rivalry with Boston College for the Commonwealth Cup. The game is known as the "Commonwealth Classic", and much pride is at stake when UMass BC tickets go on sale. UMass is a passionate campus, and they love their basketball, so come on down and sample the atmosphere in the famous Mullins Center at UMass. And if you are a fan of the big tournament, be sure to get you March Madness tickets as soon as you can. |
