It's now official; UFC 145 tickets are going on sale and light heavyweight champion Jon Jones will take on former titleholder and ex-sparring partner Rashad Evans in what is sure to be a real Ultimate Fighter showdown on April 21 in Atlanta, Georgia. UFC announced the bout on its official site recently, and it's game on for these two big hitters. Jones was brought in after the original choice, Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, injured a knee in training. Evans once said he'd never fight his former teammate under trainer Greg Jackson. Evans even said he'd move up or down a weight to avoid fighting his ex-buddy. Nowadays, that camaraderie has dissolved in a headgame prior to the big night, and UFC 145 tickets are sending fight fans into a frenzy. It was Jones who first made the statement that he was willing to fight Evans. Evans sees Jones' statement as a betrayal of their pact, declaring Jones "a fake", saying he'd never work with him again. Their initial date was scheduled for August at UFC 133, but was postponed when Jones suffered a hand injury and was forced to pull out. It's been mainly Jones who's been dishing out the nasty words in the run in to UFC 145, in a series of press announcements where he's criticised Evans' progression, his age, and his general skills.
