2013 TNA Wrestling Schedule |
The TNA roster features such greats as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, Bobby Roode and AJ Styles. Recent TNA events included the "Against All Odds" Pay-Per-View event, where Bobby Roode retained the World Heavyweight Championship by beating Jeff Hardy, James Storm and Bully Ray and Gail Kim successfully defended the Knockouts Title against Tara. The current World Champ is Bobby Roode, the Television Champ is Robbie E, the World Tag Champs are Joe and Magnus, the X Division Champ is Austin Aries, the Knockouts’ champ is Gail Kim and Women’s Tag Champs are Rayne and Kim. In 2013, super bowl champion and New York Giants star running back Brandon Jacobs appeared on the Impact Wrestling show on SpikeTV. Jacobs’s Giants defeated the Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI and he was also on the 2007 Giants team that beat the undefeated Patriots at Super Bowl XLII. TNA Impact Wrestling has featured other NFL stars throughout its history, including the Chicago Bears Brian Urlacher, New York Jets linebacker Bart Scott, Detroit Lions defensive star Kyle Vanden Bosch, former Titans star Frank Wycheck and Adam "Pacman" Jones. Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) is a professional wrestling entertainment league founded by Jeff and Jerry Jarrett. TNA wrestling is broadcast on TV and the internet 52 weeks out of the year and more than a million viewers tune in weekly to watch Impact Wrestling on Spike TV. After the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) purchased World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and the WCW ended in 2001, the Jarretts saw an opening and decided to found the wrestling company.
