Cake Concert Tickets |
After a six year hiatus without an album, Cake are back and going on tour with new material from the new Cake album Showroom of Compassion. With a name eerily similar to their 1994 debut album Motorcade of Generosity, Showroom of Compassion is the fruit of five years labor on a solar-powered studio where the recording took place. The unusualness of building a solar-powered studio to record an album is not really out of character for the band, known for their sarcasm, humor and host of influences ranging from Mariachi music to hip hop. Classic Cake songs like The Distance and their cover of I Will Survive, both off their cult classic Fashion Nugget, speak to the band’s quirky tastes. Now Cake tour dates are popping up all across the country. If you’re new to the group or a die-hard fan, don’t hesitate to grab your Cake concert tickets now to experience the sheer, guilty pleasure of Cake live! |
