Gavin Rossdale began as a member of the band Midnight. After leaving the band, meeting guitarist Nigel Pulsford and bonding through their mutual obsession of the Pixies the two formed "Future Primitive." The group, which also included Dave Parsons and drummer Robin Goodridge garnered comparisons, at first mind you, to INXS before signing with Hollywood Records. Their first record, "Sixteen Stone" was released, however, under Interscope and their first single"Everything Zen" received heavy rotation in California. Bush tickets almost sold out immediatly for subsequent Bush tours, solidifying the band's popularity.

Bush would release four albums in total before their breakup in 2002 two of which would reach the top five spots in the US and the other two in the top twenty. Bush has released ten top ten hits and has been featured on the soundtracks of nurmerous films like "Tank Girl," "The Crow City of Angels," "Fear" and the cornerstone of 90's Kevin Smith films "Mallrats."
