About the Show:

Bring It On is an original musical with an all-star creative team. Co-composer Tom Kitt won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama as well as the Tony Award for Best Score for his hit musical Next to Normal. Co-composer and co-lyricist Lin-Manuel Miranda is the visionary mind behind (and original star of) the 2008 Tony Award-winning Best Musical In the Heights. Librettist Jeff Whitty also wrote the book for the smash hit musical Avenue Q, which took the 2004 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Book, and Best Score. Director/Choreographer Andy Blankenbuehler (Tony Award winner for Best Choreography for In the Heights) and co-lyricist Amanda Green (High Fidelity, Hallelujah Baby!) round out the impressive squad. You'll want to order your Bring It On tickets as soon as possible because this musical showcases the talents of all of these accomplished artists.

Featuring all of the pep, drama, and energy of the film series, Bring It On is more than a musical--it's a stage spectacular. It combines all of the best elements of the movies while following a brand new story and featuring original characters. And the acrobatic dance numbers are truly marvelous, equaling or surpassing the most impressive routines seen at real national cheer competitions. This show is a feast for the eyes, ears, and heart. Get into the spirit and get your tickets today!

Plot Synopsis:

Campbell plays a rising high school senior who plans to captain her cheerleading squad to the top at Nationals. Her closest friends are the cocky, brash Skylar and the wide-eyed Eva, who looks up to Campbell as a hero. As Campbell's junior year comes to an end, the whole squad is thinking about cheerleader tryouts and cheer camp. Soon, however, some unfortunate restructuring of school districts sends Campbell to Jackson High, a much more racially diverse, less wealthy school across town. And to her horror, they have no cheering program. Instead, they have a dance team, led by the intimidating Danielle. Trying to make the best of a bad situation, Campbell does her best to fit in and find home in this new place. She eventually earns Danielle's respect, but the dance team is worlds apart from her cheerleading roots. Can Campbell realize her dream of winning nationals with this new squad?
