Getting Ready for Broadway's Big Day: The 2014 Tony Award Nominations

Look below for full lists of nominees by category and by show.

The Tony Award nominations have finally been released after a live broadcast announcement by Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening, Frozen) and Lucy Liu (Charlie's Angels, God of Carnage) on April 29. A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder nabbed the most nods with 10 while the Neil Patrick Harris-led Hedwig and the Angry Inch took 8. The most-honored plays of the season include The Glass Menagerie and Twelfth Night, which were remembered despite having closed long before nominations came out.

Some exciting categories to look out for at the show are whether Audra McDonald will take home Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play--her sixth Tony and the last acting category she has not yet won, and the race for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Musical, where Broadway powerhouses Kelli O'Hara, Sutton Foster, and Jessie Mueller go up against newcomer Mary Bridget Davies and now bona fide superstar Idina Menzel. Remember to tune in on Sunday, June 8 at 8:00 pm (ET/PT delay) to see who the lucky winners are!
