Based on a true story, Million Dollar Quartet is a celebration of the coming together of four of music's biggest stars and the classic music they created. The spirited actors channel these music gods as they emulate their performance styles and bring their songs to life in a brand new way. The show's score includes such hits as Presley's "Blue Suede Shoes" and "Hound Dog," Perkins' "Who Do You Love?" and "My Babe," Lewis' "Real Wild Child" and "Great Balls of Fire," and Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues" and "I Walk the Line."
The show has garnered quite a following, and some notable performers have made appearances at the show, including Melissa Etheridge, Jerry Lee Lewis, Lesley Gore, and Ray Benson. Productions have mounted in New York, Chicago, and London, and a US Tour has launched. Check the Million Dollar Quartet schedule and get your tickets today to experience the nostalgic fun of these music legends!Plot Synopsis:
It's December 4, 1956 at Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee and established musician Carl Perkins is set to record some tracks with a new performer, Jerry Lee Lewis. Meanwhile, Elvis Presley drops in with girlfriend Dyanne, and Johnny Cash has come in to chat with record executive Sam Phillips. The four amazing talents assemble and jam together. Phillips wants to sign Cash to a contract, even though he is already signed to one. One by one, Phillips explains to the audience how he first discovered each performer, and they perform some of their (now) most iconic songs.
