Electric Forest Festival previously known as the Rothbury Festival is a music festival held at Rothbury, Michigan; amidst the magical Sherwood forests during the 4th of July weekend. Founded by Jeremy Stein of Madison house, the yearly summer event is produced by Madison House Presents and Insomniac Events. The festival hosted by J J Resort, has also won the Greener Festival award twice and promotes the use of Green energy through their electric-ology program. However to the disappointment of music lovers who made the Electric Forest Festival popular, the event went on a hiatus in the year 2010. The Electric Forest Festival returned in 2011 & 2012 with an even greater line up and more energy than ever before! The festival in 2012 set up against a backdrop of an onsite lake with a beach front, hammocks and hidden performances, was moved to June 28 through July 1st and enchanted 25 thousand spectators.
