About Brantley Gilbert

Rising country/rock singer and songwriter Brantley Gilbert has come a long way from his days selling his five-song EP out of the back of his truck. Brantley Gilbert was born and raised in Jefferson, GA, a small town about an hour outside of Atlanta. Gilbert was touring and studying to be a relationship counselor at Georgia College & State University when a near-fatal car accident inspired him to pursue music full-time. The accident also inspired the title track of Halfway to Heaven.

Brantley Gilbert has released two albums on Average Joe’s Entertainment Group Label. His first album, Modern Day Prodigal Son, was released in 2009 and was followed by Halfway to Heaven in 2010. After signing with Big Machine Records of Valory Music Co. in 2011, he re-released a deluxe edition of Halfway to Heaven with additional tracks. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Charts, and the two versions of the album have sold almost 500,000 albums to date. Brantley Gilbert's single "Country Must Be Country Wide," written along with Colt Ford and Mike Dekle, is also a huge hit and reached the top of the Hot Country Songs charts and has sold more than 160,000 downloads. One of his more recent singles, "Bottoms Up", quickly peaked at No. 1 on the Country Singles chart. Brantley Gilbert has also written songs “Dirt Road Anthem” (along with Colt Ford) and “My Kinda Party” that were major hits for Jason Aldean and his 2010 album, My Kinda Party.
