Atlanta is filled with sports teams and fans who are passionate about them. The Atlanta Falcons are the city’s NFL team that play at the Georgia Dome. Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre

The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre is the “first major performing arts facility built in metro Atlanta in four decades,” according to their website. The Performing Arts Centre is on the northwest of Atlanta, and the building’s modern architecture is a nod to its excellent status as a “premier venue.” Broadways shows such as Dirty Dancing have performed there. In addition, a diverse range of popular theater events such as Shen Yun Performing Arts, Disney Live!, and musicians like The Beach Boys have all taken the stage as the Centre. Ballet companies are another type of production see at Cobb. This venue surely opens its arms to a range of artistic expression, and by doing so, it adds a lot of flavor to Atlanta’s entertainment scene.

Fabulous Fox Theatre –Atlanta

Rolling Stone Magazine called the Fabulous Fox Theatre one of the “Best Big Rooms in America.” With a past full of struggle and triumph, the Fabulous Fox Theatre earned its place as one of Atlanta’s top venues spots for music and theater. Theater productions including Hedwig and the Angry Inch and Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Fox Theatre also rakes in comedians such as Adam Sandler and TV show performances such as Dancing with the Stars: Live! However, Fabulous Fox Theatre is not just fabulous for its theatrical lean. Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Mercedes-Benz Stadium, opened in 2017, replaced the Georgia Dome that is a mere 80 feet from its gates. The Georgia Dome housed the NFL Atlanta Falcons games, collegiate sports games, the world-class musicians on tour. This list includes U2, Taylor Swift, and Kenny Chesney. Mercedes-Benz Stadium’s unique, triangular roof points that fold over the top make a can’t-miss-it look to the arena. It takes on the history of the Georgia Dome events, and it is a step up for the city of Atlanta at the biggest arena in the city.

SunTrust Park

SunTrust Park is the home of the Atlanta Braves that opened in 2017. Atlanta went through a major restructure and upgrade of its athletic facilities, and the MLB team is one group that got the VIP treatment. The Braves used to play at Turner Field, and SunTrust Park is now home. The twenty-first century design such as air-conditioning on each floor and a rethought location and parking strategy. The downtown location of the previous stadium was a turn off for fans who did not want to deal with Atlanta’s difficult traffic congestion and limited spaces. The new stadium is farther out of the city and built to better the overall fan experience.

Tabernacle

Tabernacle in downtown Atlanta is a funky, House-of-Blues-like venue that is a popular spot for mid-level-fame musicians. Whether it’s a charting up-and-comer or an established band, Tabernacle features tons of concerts with well-known artists. Concerts such as Troy Sivan, Marshmello, and Lukas Graham are a few examples of the talent that has performed as Tabernacle. For a fun, unique venue experience, this is the Atlanta venue to experience.

Philips Arena

Philips Arena is home to the NBA Atlanta Hawks, but this large indoor arena also hosts some of the biggest concerts that come to Atlanta. Huge names such as Mary J. Blige, Kanye West, and Bon Jovi are just a few who have performed at Philips Arena. However, the arena also hosts big comedians like Jeff Dunham, as well. Its versatile space allows for a diverse range of high-level talent, if you want to see the next big show, chances are it’s at Philips Arena.
