About Dropkick Murphys
Dropkick Murphys are an American Celtic punk band from Massachusetts. They are known for supporting their Celtic and Bostonian roots, and their smash hit "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" is a key for every set list of theirs, particularly when they come to play at Fenway Park. Though the group has gone through multiple lineup changes including losing their lead singer early on, they have always recovered and pushed forward. The band eventually started their own label Born & Bred Records, and their first album through their own label was the highest charting album for them to date (2007).
The band is set to release their 9th studio album 11 Short Stories of Pain & Glory early January 2017, their first since Signed and Sealed in Blood in 2013.
