In high demand after a fourth place finish in the pop-gladiatorial arena of American Idol, Chris Daughtry turned down an offer to be the lead man of Fuel to front his own band. As daunting as it may have seemed, the charismatic front man had a fan base of millions eagerly awaiting Chris Daughtry tour dates. Rather than go with an unknown name, Daughtry and his band mates, wise to the name recognition that this Idol had built, forged ahead with that as their name.
Following the release of their first album, it seemed like Daughtry was voted off the show prematurely when his album outsold American Idol champ Taylor Hicks’ debut. Daughtry tickets were in high demand following the fan favorite’s early exit from the competition.
Since then, Chris Daughtry has collaborated with members of Live, 3 Doors Down, Fuel, Nickelback, Matchbox Twenty and others. The band has a hit single with Slash, has been nominated for Grammy Awards and have a song on Guitar Hero. Their music has been used by NASCAR, LEGO and WWE and they’ve opened for Nickelback, Puddle of Mudd and Bon Jovi on Daughtry tour dates. Chris Daughtry even sang at the 2009 Thanksgiving NFL Halftime Show for the annual Cowboys-Raiders game to one of the biggest captive audiences of the year. The band recently dropped it's not over... the hits so far in 2016 and is set to release an original album in 2017. It’s no surprise that Daughtry concert tickets are flying off the shelves, get yours before they sell out!
