Niall Horan began his quick rise-to-fame with the boy band One Direction. After forming on the television show X Factor by Simon Cowell, One Direction exploded into immediate super stardom. Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson brought their boyish charm to the pop band scene. They released five albums together in consecutive years; an impressively quick feat for a music group.
However, the journey was short lived, as rumors of a break up began to surface. Zayn Malik was the first one to depart in a manner that was slightly rocky and uncomfortable for all the die-hard shocked One Direction fans. Malik fully transitioned into his solo performer persona Zayn, and he released his first solo album Mind of Mine in 2016.
