Established in 1961 when they were known as the Washington Senators until 1961, the Texas Rangers boast a rich and deep history!
Unfortunately, the Rangers are one of just a handful of teams never to win the World Series -- but the Rangers did capture back-to-back American League pennants in 2010 and 2011! Texas' 2011 World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals will be remembered as one of the great Fall Classics in history.
Many great players have played for the Rangers, including Nolan Ryan, Juan Gonzalez, Alex Rodriguez and Buddy Bell!

About Globe Life Park
Texas' home games will take place at Globe Life Park -- formerly known as Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. The Rangers have called Globe Life Park home since 1994, and the massive ballpark can house up to 52,419 fans, but typically has a capacity of 48,114. Globe Life Park hosted the American League's first-ever Wild Card game in 2012, after hosting World Series games in 2011 and 2010. Texas clinched one of its two pennants in franchise history at Globe Life Park in 2010, when the Rangers defeated the New York Yankees.
