The Olympics

It doesn’t get any bigger than this. For two weeks every fourth summer and winter, the entire planet turns a watchful eye to one city where the most elite athletes from every corner of the globe sport the colors of their homeland, hungry for a once in a lifetime opportunity at personal, national and historic glory. The effect is almost magical. The caustic political issues and grumblings of polarizing pundits are muted, conflicts old and new are momentarily forgotten, and people of all backgrounds and ideologies come together in hopes of seeing their flag raised high as a gold medal is slipped over the neck of one of their countrymen.

The 2016 Summer Olympics, hosted by Brazil in the city of Rio de Janeiro, are approaching fast and the hype is growing every day. The trials are over, athletes have punched their tickets and they’re preparing for the most monumental 17 days of their lives.

What makes the Olympics such a joy to watch is that sporting events normally relegated to seldom-visited cable channels and given minimal press coverage are thrust into the spotlight. Gymnastics, swimming, diving, track and field, and volleyball remain some of the most popular and competitive Olympic events, and the whole world will be watching once they get underway. Of course, every sport is granted its worthwhile attention, from the staples of soccer and basketball to the esoteric fares of handball and dressage, and the combative contests that include fencing and judo.

If you want to make the 2016 Olympics your summer destination and witness exceptional athletic competition, we provide access to tickets to the events and ceremonies you want to see. Because the athletes aren’t the only ones with an Olympic dream.
