Based on Michael Morpurgo's novel of the same name, War Horse follows a young boy and his horse as they deal with the chaos of World War I. When young Albert's horse, Joey, is sold to the cavalry and sent to France, disease, death, and destiny take the creature all over Europe. Still too young to enlist, Albert resolves to find his old friend and bring him home.
