The USA Men’s Soccer team represents the US in international competition such as the FIFA World Cup, the FIFA Confederations Cup, and the CONCACAF Gold Cup. It has competed in the FIFA World Cup the past six times the competition has been held, and hosted the 1994 tournament. The U.S. finished third in the first ever world cup held in 1930. The U.S. mens soccer team also reached the quarter final in 2002, falling to Germany by a score of 0-1 in a thrilling match you wont ever forget if you had US Soccer tickets. In addition to recent World Cup success, the US men’s Soccer team has also had highlights during the CONCACAF Gold Cup, reaching the final eight times and winning it four. They have also reached the final of the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2009. To date, the US team is the only CONCACAF team to reach the quarterfinal of the FIFA World Cup. |
