Las Vegas Invitational Basketball Schedule |
This year’s participants in the Las Vegas Invitational include University of North Carolina, UNLV, University of Southern California, University of South Carolina, Morgan State, California Polytechnic State University, Mississippi Valley State, and Tennessee State. This will be a two day tournament on Friday, November 25th and Saturday, November 26th and four games will be played each day. This tournament will be held at Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada and is being sponsored by IBN Sports. The Las Vegas Invitational was started in 2003 and was sponsored by Toyota until 2006. It is now sponsored by IBN Sports and just called the Las Vegas Invitational. When this event was sponsored by Toyota, it was held at Valley High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, but is now held at the Orleans Arena. There have always been eight teams that participate in the Las Vegas Invitational with the exception of 2003 when there were six teams. Out of the 61 teams that have competed or will compete this year, only five of them have participated twice. Jackson State and Tennessee State are the only teams who have appeared three times in this invitational. The University of Kansas is the only team that has won the invitational more than once. |
