Husband-wife duo Thompson Square have broken into the country scene in a big way. Their first two singles, Let’s Fight and Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not both charted and the latter was nominated for two Country Music Television awards. Not bad for the band’s first album.

The husband and wife in question, Keifer and Shawna Thompson, met in (where else) Nashville, Tennessee. Keifer had come from Oklahoma and Shawna from Alabama and they met during their first week in the music capital. Fifteen years after getting by as a wait staff and struggling in other creative industries the couple hit as Thompson Square.

Their debut album was produced by members of Jason Aldean’s backing band who do double duty on the album as house band for Thompson Square. With friends like these and early breakout hits, it won’t be long before Thompson Square tickets and Thompson Square tour dates are selling out.
