Known as one of the keystones for 90's alternative with his band Radiohead, Thom Yorke has taken independant and experimental rock into the millenium and beyond with his newest project "Atoms For Peace." Thom Yorke began life with his left eye fixed shut resulting in extensive surgery to fix the problem. After moving from school to school, where he was often teased for his eye problems, his family finally settled in Oxfordshire, where he would meet future Radiohead bandmates Ed O'brien, Phil Selway, Colin Greenwood and Johnny Greenwood. The first inception of the band would be called On a Friday but would be put on hold while it's members attended university.

On a Friday would reunite in 1991, change their name to Radiohead, and would receive notoriety for their hit single "Creep" on 1993's "Pablo Honey" album. By the release of their second album "The Bends," Radiohead had a near cult following of fans propelling the following albums "OK Computer," "Kid A," the experimental "Amnesiac" and "Hail to the Theif" to the top of the charts. Radiohead's seventh studio album "In Rainbows" was released as a digital download in 2007.

In 2006, amidst rumors of a band breakup, Thom Yorke would release "The Eraser" his first solo album. In response to the rumors, Yorke said "I want no crap about me being a traitor or whatever splitting up blah blah...this was all done with their blessing."
