Rock supergroups have been popping up in droves lately (EG Atoms for Peace, Tinted Windows, The Dead Weather) but nothing beats that of Them Crooked Vultures. Consisting of Foo Fighter's Dave Grohl, Queens of the Stone Age's Josh Homme and Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones - this group is one solid force to be reckoned with. Dave Grohl first mentioned the collaboration in a 2005 interview with Mojo. The band initially wanted to call themselves "Caligula" but the name was taken, so they settled on Them Crooked Vultures for no particular reason.
