The band has also been sampled by the likes of Rihanna. The xx has played in popular festivals like Coachella, Bonnaroo, Sasquatch, Lollapalooza and Austin City Limits. This secured a large fanbase in the US before they returned to the studio to produce their sophomore record titled Coexist.
