The Who Concert Tour 2010/2011

Is it happening? The Who are still a musical force to be reckoned with and The Who concert tickets may just go onsale during the 2010 - 2011 concert season. The Who tickets will probably be the strongest evidence in years that this band is not quite done yet. The Who tour schedule has yet to be released but founding members Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey will hit the ground running with their long-standing The Who lineup of the past several years when it is! Beatles drummer Ringo's son, Zak Starkey, will pound the skins; Townsend's younger brother Simon plays guitar; Pino Palladino is on bass and John Bundrick is on keyboard. The Who tickets will be right up there with the likes of Van Halen tickets, but for many the Who are the band that rewrote the book on credibility.

From their wild beginnings, when they smashed their instruments to pieces onstage (a gimmick copied by Jimi Hendrix and Nirvana among others) to their cult albums, films and rock operas, The Who has consistently demonstrated originality in an unoriginal music world. Refusing to simply churn out any old rubbish, they have remained entrenched in an Old School groove which has seen little in the way of studio releases since the album It's Hard in 1982. 2006's Endless Wire was the first thing we saw from The Who since then, making The Who 2010-2011 concert tour not be missed!

When The Who tickets go on sale, which will undoubtedly be soon, you'll be the first to know! We expect these passes to be snapped up fast as each new date is added to The Who concert schedule 2010-2011. These are the guys who told the story of warring Mods and Rockers on Britain's beaches and they introduced Tommy, the Pinball Wizard. In their groundbreaking rock opera, Tommy, The Who told the story of a young boy's spiritual journey and dramatic life. The intensity and absurdity of the titular character's experiences mirror the intensity and absurdity of The Who's stage performances. The lyrics to Welcome in Tommy echo the hyperbolic attitudes of the band in their earlier years, "We need more room/ Build an extension/ A colourful palace/ Spare no expense now." These guys have blended musical genres like no other before or since.

This fusion can be seen live, when you find The Who tickets here and go to the biggest rock tour of the year. These are Band Reunion tickets to be reckoned with.

The Who created a culture of loud, electric, uninhibited rock and roll that would later become clichéd because so many bands after them would follow in Pete Townshend et al.'s erratic footsteps. Best known for pioneering musical styles such as the rock opera, the power chord, and just plain high volume sound, The Who were serious rock stars in an age of big bands and Elvis. From My Generation and Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere to Long Live Rock and The Real Me, The Who made some of the most popular rock songs in history. So keep checking back, The Who concert tickets are sure to sell out as soon as they go on sale!
