About the Show:

Originally produced as a monologue for the 2011 Dublin Theatre Festival, Colm Toibin's The Testament of Mary was published as a short novel in November 2012. It has received positive reviews, and in January 2013, it was announced that a stage version would appear on Broadway as a one-woman show starring Fiona Shaw (The "Harry Potter" films, "True Blood"). Plot Synopsis:

Years after the Crucifixion of her son Jesus Christ, Mary lives alone in Ephesus but is surrounded by Jesus' followers, who all desire to elicit and record her perspective of the events surrounding his death. Plagued with grief and apprehension, she refuses to support the official version of the story.
