Plot Synopsis:

The Normal Heart follows the story of Ned Weeks, a gay writer who positions himself as a pioneer in the fight against AIDS just as the disease is beginning to run rampant. As more and more people in his life begin to get sick, Ned tries his hardest to gather support to fight the epidemic. Meanwhile, Ned negotiates a relationship with his own partner, Felix, as he simultaneously lashes out at the media, the medical world, and the government, all which seem to be ignoring the devastation caused by this new and terrifying illness.
