In fairy tale fashion, The Civil Wars Poison and Wine soundtracked one those epic, sprawling, emotional roller coaster climaxes on Gray’s Anatomy sending millions of viewers to the internet in search of the track. Then Taylor Swift tweeted to her 5 million plus followers that she had Poison and Wine on repeat and they practically became a household name. Civil War tour dates and Civil War concert tickets are literally selling out.

The Civil Wars videos are the first to receive support from both VH1 and CMT and the band’s spiraling popularity led to a spot on NPR’s A Prarie Home Companion. After show stopping performances at South by Southwest and on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, their first full-length album, The Civil Wars Barton Hollow, is a critical and commercial success.
