About the Show:

The Assembled Parties is a play by Tony-winning playwright Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out, The American Plan). The 2013 world premiere put Manhattan Theatre Club artistic director Lynne Meadow at the helm of this funny and gripping new play, directing Broadway favorites Jessica Hecht (Harvey, "Friends") and Judith Light (Other Desert Cities, "Who's the Boss?"). Plot Synopsis:

The Bascovs are a Jewish family from the Upper West Side of New York City. In 1980 in a lavish apartment on Central Park West, Julie Bascov, a former movie star, and her sister-in-law Faye gather with their families for an old-fashioned holiday dinner. However, things go awry when an unexpected guest crashes the party and gets involved in the family drama. Twenty years later, in the new millennium, the Bascov family's sparkling veneer begins to crack.
