2012 Terry Fator Comedy Tickets |
Terry Fator first became a household name by winning the 2007 “America’s Got Talent” competition with his combination of ventriloquism and celebrity singing impressions. With exposure like that, its no wonder Terry Fator tickets are as big as they are, hes become one of the hottest Las Vegas performers in the city! In just a short amount of time, Fator went from performing his act for a single spectator in a 1,000 seat venue at a county fair to regularly packing the house at the Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in a theatre named after him. Terry Fator first performed impressions for his family at the age of six and after purchasing the book “Ventriloquism for Fun and Profit” a few years later, performed his first paying gig at the age of 12. His act evolved to combine ventriloquism and celebrity impressions, and later singing. Fator sang for Texas the Band as a young man, and covered artists like Garth Brooks and Guns N’ Roses. He eventually branched out and began a solo career, doing performances at county fairs and corporate events, who would have thought that a few years later Terry Fator tickets would be as hot as they are! Fator was inspired to audition for “America’s Got Talent” after seeing a ventriloquist from season one on “The Late Show with David Letterman.” His puppet Emma Taylor and her impression of Etta Jame’s “At Last” during auditions was an instant hit. Fator made it all the way to the final where his puppet Wintston the Impersonating Turtle brought the house down with a performance of Roy Orbison’s “Crying.” After winning the competition (and a million dollar prize), Fator appeared on “The Today Show,” “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” The Ellen Degeneres Show” and “The Late Show with David Letterman.” At his appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” American Idol Judge Simon Cowell, not known for his bubbly personality, said Fator was “one of two of the most talented people on the planet.” In 2008, he signed a multi-year contract to perform at The Mirage in Vegas, and in December of 2008 he released “Who’s the Dummy Now?,” an autobiography about his journey to success. Fator’s cast of puppets includes Winston the Impersonating Turtle, cowboy Walter T. Airdale, Hyphen, Julius, Emma Taylor, Duggie Scott Walker, Vikki “The Cougar,” Wrex the crash test dummy, and the newest character, Berry Fabulous the lawyer turned entertainer. The puppets impersonate a wide range of celebrities such as Cher, Etta James, Guns N’ Roses, Garth Brooks, Black Sabbath and Gnarls Barkley. |
