About Sade

Originating from London with roots running deep in Nigeria, Sade Adu quickly became a staple among the legion of soul and jazz fans across the country. Sade was first discovered when a portion of the latin soul band called Pride broke off to form Sade (which is also the name of the band). They released their first single "Your Love is King" in 1984 and ever since then Sade has been a chart topping act worldwide.

Consisting of singer Sade Adu, Stuart Matthewman, Paul Spencer Denman and Andrew Hale, Sade first joined the concert circuit on a UK Sade tour dishing out large slabs of melting funk. Sade tickets to Sade concerts were racing toward becoming some of the most popular. Back then, Sade concert tickets put the group on the fast track to their first set of awards, which included the BPI Award for "Best Album," just a year after their first single was released.
