Pittsburgh Steelers Schedule

Steelers Fast Facts
  • Founded: 1933
  • Super Bowl titles: 1974, 1975, 1978, 1979, 2005, 2008
  • Head Coach: Mike Tomlin
  • Owners: The Rooney Family
  • All-time passing leader: Ben Roethlisberger
  • All-time rushing leader: Franco Harris
  • All-time receiving leader: Hines Ward

After back-to-back 8-8 seasons, the Pittsburgh Steelers are finally ready to turn the corner, and return to playoff football -- just like the Steelers and Steelers fans are used to. Head coach Mike Tomlin is one of the best coaches in the league, and with Ben Roethlisberger anchoring the offense, and with Troy Polamalu patrolling the secondary, the Steelers will always be in contention.

Founded in 1933 as the Pittsburgh Pirates, the Steelers are the most successful team in NFL history. The Steelers have won more Super Bowl titles (six) than any other team in the NFL, and have appeared in eight Super Bowls.

Pittsburgh's on-the-field success is also shared off the field, as the Steelers have been under ownership of the Rooney family since inception. The Rooney's have a history of civil rights advocacy, and were the first team to hire an African-American coach (Lowell Perry).

Further, the Steelers are synonymous with loyalty. Pittsburgh has had just three coaches since 1969 -- Chuck Noll, Bill Cowher and Mike Tomlin. All three coaches have won Super Bowls.

With a franchise so used to success, Tomlin and the Steelers will certainly get back on track sooner rather than later. Be there this season at Heinz Field to watch the Steelers try to regain control of the AFC North! Check out Pittsburgh's schedule, and buy your Steelers tickets today!
