Hailing from Miami, Florida, the artist known as Pitbull has positioned himself as one of the biggest club music MC's out there right now. Some would call Pitbull's music crunk, other Miami bass music, some club music, and other would just say its straight-up hip hop. When asked about why he chose the moniker Pitbull as his stage name, Pérez replies that the dog "bites to lock. The dog is too stupid to lose. And they're outlawed in Dade County. They're basically everything that I am. It's been a constant fight." Born and raised in Souther Florida as a second-generation Cuban American, Pitbull is not shy about representing the Miami Area.
