Philadelphia Eagles Season Outlook

Following a disappointing season that saw the team miss the playoffs the front office has brought in new Head Coach Chip Kelly, who coached for the Oregon Ducks, and has the team aiming for the NFC crown. Michael Vick is still one of the most explosive players in the league and with tons of talent around him should be in great shape to do some damage. Vick has some talented receivers around him, with DeSean Jackson and Riley Cooper ready for some touches. With that duo a threat in the passing game, and LeSean McCoy taking up the run, you can bet the Eagles have a chance to win any game. Philadelphia Head Coach Chip Kelly has to make the best use of his roster, but he’s shown he has what it takes. Be there for all the Philadelphia Eagles NFL fun and get your tickets today!

It’s a full slate of NFL opponents waiting for the Eagles and anything can happen on the football field. Maybe the biggest match of the year comes against the New York Giants on weeks five and eight, which should be a great game. Watching Michael Vick and the Eagles face the New York Giants and Eli Manning on Sunday, October 6 and Sunday, October 27 is going to be awesome, so if you don’t have tickets, get them right away! When you are looking at Philadelphia Eagles tickets you want to see some action, and the New York Giants surely will bring it! Another big match on the 2014 Philadelphia Eagles schedule are the Dallas Cowboys and Tony Romo. And of course the Washington Redskins won the division last season and with Robert Griffin III back they are going to be formidable. The NFC East could be the toughest division in the NFL so get your tickets and support your Philadelphia Eagles football team.

Many of the questions last year centered on the defense, with former Offensive Line Coach Juan Castillo taking much of the heat for an under performing group. Many questioned the promotion of Castillo to the defensive coordinator position, after he served as the offensive line coach in previous years. Still, while fans love to blame the coaches, it is the players on the field who have to make plays. The signing of Nnamdi Asomugha last season was the biggest of the offseason, and the Eagles are so convinced that their secondary is strong that they traded Asante Samuel this season. They also added DeMeco Ryans at linebacker, which should help shore up the middle of the field. The defense should be much stronger this year, and if the Eagles can close out games and not give up leads late, this team could possibly make a deep playoff run. They finished last season strong and if they can get off to a good start this year, the rest of the NFC better watch out! Make sure you grab some Eagles tickets and get out to Lincoln Financial Field to see them take on the rest of the NFL in 2014.

Philadelphia Eagles History

With three NFL titles in the days between 1948 and 1960, the Philadelphia Eagles had a successful early life in the league. After those victories, sub-par performances kept the Eagles out of championship contention until 1981. Guided by coach Dick Vermeil, Philadelphia made it to Super Bowl XV, where they were defeated by the Oakland Raiders 27-10. During their run to the Super Bowl, Eagles playoff tickets became extremely hot.

Another mediocre period came to an end in 1988, when the great Randall Cunningham came into his own and remade the position of quarterback, offering a running threat in addition to his passing ability. Cunningham led the team in rushing from 1987 to 1990, rushing for over 1,000 yards and throwing 30 touchdowns in 1990. The Philadelphia Eagles made every playoffs between 2000 and 2004, but in 2005 they were decimated by injuries and other issues, and finished 6-10 just a year after playing in the Superbowl against New England, They have been better since the gutsy signing of Michael Vick and the subsequent trading of Kevin Kolb after Vick shined when he had the opportunity to start. After missing the playoffs by a slim margin in 2011, the Eagles are eager to get back to the playoffs and win Andy Reid an elusive Super Bowl ring in the 2014-2013 season.
