BNP Paribas Open Schedule

The Indian Wells Masters, now officially called the BNP Paribas Open as a part of the sponsorship with the French bank BNP Paribas, is an annual tennis tournament played in Indian Wells California each March. The women’s tournament begins on a Wednesday and the men’s tournament begins the following day, Thursday, with both tournaments wrapping up on the Sunday of the following week. The men’s ATP and women’s WTA are both represented at the BNP Paribas Open with both men’s and women’s draws consisting of 96 players. This is one of the biggest tournaments in professional tennis and tickets for the 2014 BNP Paribas Open are going fast. On the ATP tour, the BNP Paribas Open is considered a Masters 1000 event while the WTA tour considers the tournament a Premier Mandatory event. Both of these classifications make the BNP Paribas Open a major annual tournament for player’s world rankings, and with that comes a high demand for tickets.

In addition to the four major grand slam tournaments (the French Open, Australian Open, Wimbledon and the US Open), The BNP Paribas Open is the most attended tennis tournament in the world with over 370,000 visitors throughout the event. The BNP Paribas Finals are played at Stadium 1 of the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, which is the second largest tennis stadium in the world. The current men’s champion is Roger Federer and the women’s champion is Victoria Azarenka. Before their partnership with BNP Paribas, the tournament was named the Pacific Life Open from 2002-2008 and the Tennis Masters Series: Indian Wells in 2000 and 2001. But no matter what you call it, this is one tennis event you don't want to miss so get your tickets for the BNP Paribas tennis tournament before its too late!
