Often compared to the Postal Service, Owl City is the next generation of bedroom navel-gazing electronica to hit the Internet. Singer-songwriter Adam Young got his start the new-old-fashioned way, on MySpace, when his lilting compositions and web savvy met with the approval of adoring fans all around the world.

Based in Minnesota, Young was loading Coke trucks by day and turning his insomnia into little pop nuggets by night when he was picked up by a major label to produce his debut Ocean Eyes which yielded the hit song Fireflies. Since then, Owl City songs have appeared in 90210 and Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland and worked with legendary electronic musician Armin Van Buuren.
