Plot Synopsis:

Two grown orphan brothers live in a rundown house in North Philadelphia. In their childhood, they were abandoned by an adulterous father and left alone by the death of their mother. To survive, older brother Treat makes a living by stealing to provide for him and his younger brother Phillip. Rather than trying to better their situation, Treat attempts to protect Phillip by keeping him uneducated, sheltered, and innocent.

Phillip, traumatized by the death of their mother, lies in her old closet full of unworn clothes and tries to learn about the world by watching old TV reruns and reading old books and newspapers around the house. One day, Treat captures a Chicago gangster named Harold, but is shocked when Harold escapes and pulls a gun. Unexpectedly, he manages to get into their world and stake out a role as teacher and surrogate parent. Order your Orphans tickets today to see this story performed live.
