The Oakland Raiders are one of the teams in the Western Division of the American Football Conference that has a fairly long history, having begun in 1960 and become part of the NFL in 1970. After firing head coach Art Shell in January 2007, they signed running back Dominic Rhodes fresh from his Indianapolis Colts Super Bowl adventures.
The Raiders crashed 36-21 to the Detroit Lions in week 1 of the season, followed by a 23-20 defeat to the Broncos. Not a good start, but the Raiders Lions tickets, and Raiders Broncos tickets were among the best selling NFL tickets.
The Browns, the Dolphins, and the Chargers were the next three sides to face the Raiders, and this meant two wins and a loss (to the Chargers). Raiders Browns tickets, Raiders Dolphins tickets, and Raiders Chargers tickets went that-a-way folks, as they were snapped up by football-crazy NFL fans.
The next several weeks saw some great football; quarterback Daunte Culpepper made a precision 21-yard touchdown pass to receiver Ronald Curry against the Chiefs, showing why he is held in such high esteem. Raiders Chiefs tickets were much sought after, followed by Raiders Titans tickets for a great game with Janikowski kicking two awesome field goals, a 43-yard and a 54-yarder. Next came Raiders Texans tickets and Raiders Bears tickets, and these, too, were notable games. Unfortunately, the Texans won 24-17, and the Bears won 17-6.
The Vikings, the Chiefs, the Broncos were all next, and the Vikings won their game 29-22. Raiders Vikings tickets sold well, as did the Raiders Broncos tickets. The Vikings game saw the Oakland side fall behind early, due to Culpepper, of all people, committing a penalty in the Oakland endzone. The following week, the Chiefs were defeated 20-17 in a close game that saw the Raiders end their six-game losing streak. But the Broncos provided even better relief, with a 34-20 victory for the Raiders.
There followed a few weeks of defeats again, when Raiders Packers tickets, Raiders Colts tickets, and Raiders Jaguars tickets all sold well, but those teams unleashed an arsenal of touchdown passes, long-balls, field goals, and irresistible drives that bamboozled the Raiders into a dismal 4-12 record by the time they'd played the Chargers again for their final game of the season.
The Raiders' 2007 NFL season was by no means their best - far from it - but there were wtill some shining stars, like quarterback Josh McCown, wide receiver Ronald Curry, full-back Justin Griffith, and quarterback Daunte Culpepper among many more. Raiders Bills tickets, Raiders Patriots tickets, and Raiders Jets tickets were all craved by the Raiders faithful. Some other tickets that filled the bleachers at McAfee Coliseum included Raiders Ravens tickets, Raiders Bengals tickets, and Raiders 49ers tickets.
