Hailing from New Jersey, Misfits immediately became a favorite among the gangs of fans who cite horror movies, intense horror imagery and black humor as their favorite form of entertainment. Misfits was first conceptualized when goth metal staple Glenn Danzig recruited guitarist Jimmy Battle, bassist Diane DiPiazza and drummer Manny Martinez to the band named after Marilyn Monroe's very last film before her untimely death. Ever since then, Misfits have been a predominant figure in the "Horror Business." The current lineup consists of Jerry Only on bass guitar and lead vocals, Dez Cadena on guitar and backing vocals. As the only original member, Only rips a Devastator bass of graphite with a unique form - it has no tone or volume control because Only always plays it at maximum capacity. What makes Misfits tickets even more interesting is the fact that Misfits members had a short stint in World Championship Wrestling in 1999 - but that's a whole story within itself!
