It's a new era for the Minnesota Vikings. Minnesta brough in defensive guru Mike Zimmer to take over as head coach, relieving Leslie Frazier of his duties after three seasons. Despite having Adrian Peterson in the backfield, the Vikings finished 5-10-1 in 2013 -- a far cry from the 10-6 team in 2012 that qualified for the playoffs. Hopes are high in Minnesota with a new coach, the league's best running back, and a new rookie quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater.

Don't miss out on any of the action this season, as the Vikings try to return to the playoffs! Be there to watch Adrian Peterson rumble his way to another MVP-like season! Check out Minnesota's 2014 schedule and buy your Vikings tickets today!

Originally meant to join the American Football League, the Minnesota Vikings joined the NFL in 1961 -- becoming the 14th team in the NFL at the time. After seven years of futility, the Vikings qualified for the playoffs for the first time in franchise history in 1968, and advanced to the Super Bowl in 1969 -- but lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. Minnesota appeared in the Super Bowl again in 1973, 1974 and 1976 -- but lost each time.

Since then, the Vikings haven't made it back to the Super Bowl -- but the Vikings and Vikings fans are ready to take the next step, and bring home the franchise's first-ever Lombardi trophy.

Anchored by Adrian Peterson, the Vikings have arguably the best running game in the entire NFL. For years, the Vikings haven't had a passing game that keeps defenses honest defending the run. Minnesota addressed that in the 2014 draft, selecting Teddy Bridgewater with the No. 32 overall pick in the draft. Bridgewater will compete for the starting job -- but certainly looks like he's the quarterback of the future in Minnesota.

With a new coach and quarterback, hopes are high in Minnesota that the Vikings will compete for the NFC North crown in 2014. Don't just watch the Vikings on TV -- be there this season, when the Vikings play outdoors at TCF Bank Stadium!
